   I am currently a Global Tax Intern at H & CO where I support the preparation of individual tax returns for both U.S. residents and non-residents. My work includes organizing tax workpapers and inputting return data in CCH Axcess for Forms 1040 and 1040-NR while reporting various income sources, deductions, credits, and payments. I also conduct tax research using IRS guidance, IRC provisions, and tax treaty rules to better understand and support the appropriate treatment of client transactions. Additionally, I assist with international tax compliance by analyzing residency status through passport, visa, and travel history reviews to perform Substantial Presence Test determinations and support foreign income reporting, foreign tax credits, currency translation, and FBAR filings. Alongside tax work, I provide accounting support in QuickBooks by classifying transactions, reconciling bank activity, and assisting with balance sheet tie-outs and year-end adjustments. I also help coordinate open-item requests to ensure client documentation is complete and engagements move forward efficiently.
