He represents insurers and reinsurers incoverage and reinsurance disputes to achieve the best business outcome for his clientsthrough litigation, arbitration, and negotiated settlements.With respect to reinsurance, he is experienced in addressing issues related to theunderwriting, placement, and claims handling of facultative and treaty reinsurancecontracts. Bruce routinely represents parties in arbitrations where claims are valued inmultimillions of dollars and involve all forms of reinsurance claims and underwritingdisputes such as misrepresentation, allocation, late notice, coverage for expenses, andapplication of follow the fortunes.With respect to his insurance coverage experience, Bruce has been lead counsel forinsurers on a national basis in cases involving insurance coverage for environmental, leadpaint, products, asbestos, silica, and pharmaceuticals, as well as professional liabilitymatters. Bruce\'s representation of insurers in these matters includes successful jurytrials. Bruce is currently involved in litigation involving coverage claims arising from newregulations requiring the clean-up of coal ash by utility companies that have stored coalash in unlined ponds for many decades.
