ABOUT BRUCE CLARK

I hold a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and am currently studying for my second degree — a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance with the Open University — where I’m achieving an average of 89.2% across assignments and exams to date.At QMS I’ve developed hands-on experience in core accounting and finance processes, including invoice processing, statement reconciliation, journal entries, expense management, bank reconciliation, and subcontractor and stock analysis. Working extensively with Sage and Excel, I’ve streamlined data handling, improved reporting, and supported accurate financial decision-making.Alongside my finance work, I bring exceptionally strong IT literacy, which enables me to leverage software tools and systems effectively in a finance context. I’m highly proficient in Sage, Excel, Access, and other business systems, and confident I could adapt quickly to platforms such as Xero. This technical strength supports my finance career rather than defining it, allowing me to improve processes and reporting without moving into an IT role.I’m passionate about building a career in accountancy and finance and continue to deepen my knowledge through my degree and independent study, including AAT Level 2 materials between university modules.
