I established the first full-time Joint Interagency Coordination Group at US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). Under the Command of Admiral Stravidis, he took the successes of the JIACG and formed the J9 Partnering Directorate devoted to partnering with our non-DOD partners including interagency, international organizations, academic outreach, business engagement and non-governmental organizations. When the JIACG was created, there were only 4 federal agencies with full time representation assigned to SOUTHCOM Headquarters, today there are 15 Federal Agencies with 34 full-time reps assigned to SOUTHCOM and a Department of State Political Officer (POLAD) at 5 of the 6 Components. I am currently the Chief of the Integration Division within the J9 with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining strong coordination, collaboration and information sharing contacts with our US Government agencies and international organizations.
