As a Managing Director with Manulife\'s Power and Infrastructure debt team, I am responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing fixed income investments across a range of sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, energy retrofits and public-private partnerships. Our team manages a $50 billion portfolio of primarily investment grade public and private debt from utility, renewable energy and core infrastructure issuers. Within the P&I team, I have primary responsibility for leading Manulife’s global infrastructure debt efforts. In additional to sourcing transaction, I also lead the due diligence efforts and the presentation of new investment opportunities to our Credit Committee. During my time with Manulife, I have led more than 60 transactions through to financial close, representing over $6 billion in transaction volume. Investments have ranged from $25 million to $200 million, have ben both rated and unrated, and have included long-term bonds, private placements, medium-term notes and short-term bullets. I have been involved with transactions in Canada, the US, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Asia. Investments have spanned the capital stack from senior secured opco loans to junior debt, subordinated debt and holdco level loans and I have been involved in broadly marketed, club and direct bi-lateral transactions.

ABOUT BRUCE ANDERSON
With a background in corporate and project finance, I bring domestic & international fixed income experience with a focus on infrastructure at both the investment grade and speculative grade levels. I have worked in Canada and the United States and have been involved in transactions around the worldI am currently part of a fixed income team that invests directly in project finance and infrastructure projects around the world, and oversees a portfolio in excess of $50 billion. I understand infrastructure procurement including the issues and challenges associated with public-private partnerships, off-take agreements, and contracted and merchant structures. In addition to leading efforts to invest directly in projects, I have also advised public sector procuring agencies, private sector consortia and institutional lenders on a range of infrastructure and project finance initiatives.I have previously been involved with real estate development and bring valuable project management experience. As CFO of MaRS, a $1 billion brownfield infrastructure development in Toronto, I was a senior member of the management team that led the sf Phase I from financial close, through construction to commissioning and operation and oversaw the acquisition and pre-development of additional assets that formed the sf Phase II. During this time, I oversaw all financing efforts, including coordinating a $100M rated private placement, construction loans, equity bridge loans and over $100 million in equity contributions.Finally, I understand fixed income investing, currently as an Managing Director in the Project Finance and Infrastructure debt team at Manulife and previously as a Director of Private Capital in the San Francisco, Farmington CT and Toronto offices of GATX Capital.
