About Briana R. Sevigny
Driven to know more, understand more, and share more, I am a Higher Education professional seeking to enhance my professional experiences through continued networking, consulting, and collaboration. Topics that make me tick include social justice as it relates to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, socio-economics, culture, spirituality, ability, and age, intersectionality, and the engagement and growth of the whole person through personal and professional development. Social media and the connected world fascinate me and I\'m a quick student of online networks and media. I enjoy working with a team to achieve shared goals. Working for over twenty years in the field of Student Affairs, I have worked in Student Conduct since 2010 after many years in Residential Life/Housing. I am always seeking to learn more to be the best administrator that I can be, providing students with a developmental learning process that supports their both their classroom and human experiences, as well as improving and growing my professional team to increase their knowledge, skill sets, and capacity. My passion lies in training and development. In addition to providing training and workshops to students, I have had significant opportunities for training staff and faculty and departments in my workplaces as well as offering consulting sessions for private businesses and professional sessions for national and international conferences, supplementing training and education work I have been doing since Specialties: Social Justice, Strategic Planning and Efficiency, Identity Development, LGBTQA issues, Sexuality and Relationships, Resilience Building and Grit, General Student/Departmental Training (including Confrontation, Mediation, Assertiveness, Social Media, & more), Program Development, Assessment (including CAS), Information Synthesis & Departmental Organization
