I represent companies and individuals in white collar, securities and other complex litigation matters. I have conducted internal investigations across industry sectors and have represented clients in investigations by the DOJ, the SEC, the CFTC, the CME, the CFPB, and state and local prosecutors. I have significant expertise with matters involving market manipulation, including \"spoofing,\" and cryptocurrency.As a former prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, I am comfortable negotiating with prosecutors and regulators and equally comfortable taking cases to trial. I have tried nine federal criminal cases and briefed and argued numerous appeals before the Second Circuit.During my tenure at the SDNY, I prosecuted several high-profile cases, including United States v. Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomber; and United States v. Abduwali Muse, the Somali pirate who led the attempted hijacking of the Maersk Alabama.I am a member of the New York Bar and am admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
