About Brooke Jamieson

I\'m a Senior Developer Advocate at AWS, where I focus on AI agents and developer tools like Kiro, Strands, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. I moved from Australia to New York City for this role, and I\'ve been making byte-sized tech content ever since to help developers build with confidence. I\'ve had a weird path through tech. I studied pure mathematics, then worked internationally as a fashion model, started a masters degree, dropped out of a masters degree, worked in leadership at an AI consulting firm, and built things at global startups, before teaching myself Python from docs on nights and weekends and learning AWS through the free tier and breaking lots of things. I\'m one generation off a sheep farm, and the same infrastructure that powers much of the internet was available to me in regional Australia for free. That access changed the trajectory of my career. Before AWS moved me to the US for this role, I was an AWS Machine Learning Hero. Now I\'m the \"voice of developers\" on the re:Invent leadership team, I speak at events like AWS re:Invent and Summits worldwide, and I build tools and content that make complex topics feel achievable. I love to build, and I love to tinker! I custom-design my own swag because the personal touches matter! I care about STEM access for underrepresented communities because I know what it\'s like to not see a path until someone shows you one exists.
