As a Principal Engineer at Southern Company, my focus is on leading energy security and community resilience research. This includes the Energy Empowerment subpillar, a key component of Southern Company\'s Moving to Equity framework. Starting in 2022, in partnership with Smart Electric Power Alliance, EPRI and the Electrification Coalition we pursued community engagement on advancing Equity in Transportation Electrification, aiming to better understand the barriers for underserved communities within our territory.I engage with cross-functional teams to contribute to and submit funding proposals, with the dual aims of advancing clean energy and integrating energy security.Advancing energy security requires collaboration across a range of stakeholders, including governmental entities, community-based and philanthropic organizations, and innovative startups.
