About Brooke Rypel

I am a senior at Florida State University, majoring in Risk Management and Insurance, with plans to graduate in Spring 2025. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a Nole, following in the footsteps of my two older siblings who graduated from FSU and entered the insurance industry. To reach this goal, I began my college journey at the State College of Florida, where I worked tirelessly at a restaurant to save up for my dream school. With determination and perseverance, I earned my AA in Business from SCF and transferred to FSU to pursue my passion. Inspired by my siblings, I chose to pursue a career in the dynamic field of insurance. At FSU, I made it a priority to get involved in activities that would enrich my academic and professional experience. I joined Women in Business and had the incredible opportunity to attend a conference at Harvard University. I also became actively involved in Gamma Iota Sigma, where I am currently serving as President. This past summer, I completed my first internship with Amwins Specialty Casualty Solutions, part of Amwins\' underwriting division. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into both the wholesale and underwriting sides of the industry, working on primary AL, healthcare WC, and public entity programs. Driven by a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving my goals, I have already earned my University Associate Certified Insurance Counselor (UACIC) designation and am on track to complete my full CIC designation before graduation. My journey has taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and the pursuit of excellence—qualities that continue to motivate me as I prepare for a successful career in the insurance industry.
