Neurosurgery to include cranial and spine surgical procedures.* First Assist in surgical procedures: craniotomy for brain tumor resection, resections of arteriovenous malformations, cranioplasty, spinal decompression and fusion with placement of instrumentation and spinal microsurgery.* Manage daily care of inpatients: Write daily progress notes on EMR, round with attendings, place order sets for patients, perform history and physicals* Perform consults: incoming trauma patients, Emergency department, stroke codes and inpatient* Educate patients and obtain consents for surgical procedures* Communicate and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate smooth yet urgent interventions* Manage all aspects of patient discharge: Patient education, instructions, prescriptions, necessary follow up, discharge summaries* Specialized training in Deep Brian Stimulation treatment, Medtronic systems to include Axiom and fiducials for stereotactic guidance. Medtronic and Integra programmable shunts with interrogation and re-programming skill set.* Superior knowledge of accurate fiducial placement. Management and nurse educator of Medtronic Ventricular Bag system.
