ABOUT BRONWYN HYLAND
Two issues that have inspired my career are that access to energy is a key indicator of quality of life and the reality of climate change. I believe in the need for clean energy solutions to meet both challenges. Currently I am program lead at Suncor Energy, with a goal to reduce greenhouse gas intensity for oil sands operations. With twelve years in science and technology, I have experience providing leadership to multi-disciplinary technical teams, including national and international research and development collaborations. My earlier role a nuclear reactor physicist included performing modelling and simulation analyses of advanced fuel cycle physics, investigations of the relationships between nuclear technologies, and advanced nuclear reactor and fuel concept development.
