ABOUT BRONWEN MAGGS

I am a passionate and experienced Legacy Fundraiser. I truly believe in the importance of placing the supporter and their story at the centre of all that we do and I am always striving to deliver empathetic and inspiring supporter stewardship whatever the role, or task. I started volunteering with Alzheimer\'s Society in 2013 and went on to get my first charity sector job in their Legacy Giving team in 2017. I gained nearly 5 years of experience working in Charity Legacy Administration. In that time, I completed the ILM\'s certificate in Charity Legacy Administration, in which I was awarded a distinction. I handled complex and contentious files. But most of all, I took pride in sensitively and considerately working with lay Executors. I am proud to now be working in a Legacy Fundraising role at Marie Curie, supporting people in talking about death and preparing their loved ones\' for the end of their lives - however old they are or whatever their circumstances. Most of all, I am in awe of the difference gifts in Wills make to charities every single year and take pride in promoting gifts in Wills so that Marie Curie can continue to do the work it does, way into the future.
