About Brodie Bain
Brodie brings over 30 years of architectural and planning experience specializing in higher education. Her comprehensive understanding of colleges, universities, and other institutions comes from years of work in campus planning, programming, utilization studies, site planning and pre-designs for the full range of building types including classroom, lab, student center, student housing, medical education, and administrative and services buildings. This breadth of experience brings a comparative perspective that is invaluable to clients. Brodie helps clients and institutions think strategically and intentionally about near and long-term project planning decisions, enabling institutions to achieve their mission through the creation of supportive physical environments. Her approach stems from a passion for listening to clients and users and translating their needs into workable space within the context of physical opportunities and operational constraints.Brodie has worked across the country and internationally for more than 50 state universities, private colleges, community colleges, and government and corporate campuses. She is an active member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), the Advancement for Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), and recently sat on the Seattle Design Commission.
