ABOUT BROCK YOUNG

I\'m a trainer, fixer, connector, and facilitator with a knack for making policies, processes, and procedures more effective and efficient. I continue to advocate for and champion programs that promote Veteran hiring and retention within all levels of government and private industry. Programs like the DoD SkillBridge and Operation Warfighter, and the various tracks within the VA\'s Veterans Readiness & Employment (VR & E) program.I have worked within the federal system, across agency boundaries and with federal senior partners to fix problems, provide training, and get #OneMoreVeteranHired. 500 times over. One of the many things I do is help connect needs-with-resources, which includes connecting vacancies-with-talent. What can I do to help? Let me know. I retired from a 24 year US Army career in 2021, worked as a Federal Employee, and am now with a local Police Department. Planning, effort, and connecting with Veterans and professionals who have made the jump made my transition and job searches as easy and stress-free as they could be. I\'m passionate about understanding and translating the hiring process; resume writing, development, and review; and being a mentor. I enjoy passing along the lessons that I learned the hard way, at no cost to other career seekers. Beyond the hiring front, I\'ve also learned how to navigate the Veterans Affairs claims process and have helped dozens of fellow Veterans understand the importance of things like documentation, nexus letters, and lay statements, which translated directly into successful claims submission.Questions? I\'m here to help. I\'ve been a Team Leader, Administrative Assistant, Squad Leader, Bradley Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Leader, Aide de Camp, Company Commander and S1 & S3 at the BN and BDE levels. I know how to translate \"military\" experience into civilian terms.Follow these #\'s and learn more:#OneMoreVeteranHired #OneMoreMilSpouseHired #ownyourtransition #OneMoreVacancyFilled #beastmoderesume #resume #federalhiring #VFEC #veteranshelpingveterans #vetshelpingvets #transitioningservicemembers #transitioningveterans #veterans #transitioningmilitary #stillservingveterans #veteransupport #fedshirevets #vets2fed #veteranjobs #skillbridge #dodskillbridge
