Virology procedures – virus crude preparation from seed stock viruses and titration verification testing of cultured viruses• (CLIA) – clincial laboratory improvement amendents – monitoring hazardous material for BSL2• Performing blood collection on various animals (hamsters & guinea pigs) for serum and stored at minus 80c• Harvastering organs from various animal species (heart, lung, liver, spleen and kidney)• Procurement for all laboratory supplies: surgery tools, syringes, needles, formalin and blood tubes• Cell culture maintenance – washing with pbs, trypin to lift the monolayer, DMEM 5% complete media to save cells• Cell culture maintenance – media prep work/setup, cell washing and collection• Data collection from Virus Safety testing protocols using various buffers in combination with 2% rpmi media solution• Providing on-site training as a Rodent Health Tech.
