I have served with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for over 22 years and currently serve as a Lieutenant overseeing Advanced Training and the Academy. I began my career in public safety communications before being sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff in 2005, and I have consistently pursued assignments that demanded discipline, accountability, and growth.My experience spans Detention, Court Services, Warrants, Criminal Investigations, and the Fugitive Apprehension Unit. I spent a decade on the SWAT Team, ultimately serving as Team Leader. Those years reinforced lessons that continue to guide my leadership: prepare thoroughly, communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and take ownership when it matters most.As I have promoted through the ranks, my focus has shifted from individual performance to building capable teams. I have supervised operational units and led training initiatives for more than 550 sworn personnel. I hold 14 instructor certifications and have delivered thousands of hours of instruction. More importantly, I am committed to developing professionals who exercise sound judgment, uphold high standards, and lead with integrity in high-liability environments.I believe leadership is demonstrated daily through consistency, fairness, and example. Standards matter. Character matters. The mission matters. My responsibility is to ensure the people entrusted to me are prepared, confident, and aligned, and that I model the discipline and steadiness I expect from them.I have completed the FBI National Academy Associates Leadership Certification, Georgia State University’s Command Level Preparation Certification and the prestigious FBI-LEEDA Trilogy as part of my continued commitment to growth and organizational excellence.I am proud to serve this profession and the community alongside dedicated men and women who raise the standard every day.
