I teach and research procedural and ethical issues in civil dispute resolution. Before entering the legal academy, I practiced law for seventeen years, litigating a wide variety of complex civil disputes in state and federal courts nationwide. I now draw on that experience-both in the classroom and in my scholarship-to illustrate real-world application of civil procedure policy and theory.
