WORK HISTORY
Associate Professor @Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research Iiser , Pune
Pune, IN
A chemical biologist with 15 years of experience in both industry and academia and my specialties include drug discovery, organic synthesis, bio-conjugation, target identification, target validation, medium-throughput screening, cellular chemical biology, chemical proteomics, in vivo, and ex vivo imaging. The vision of my laboratory is to develop enabling chemical biology technologies to decipher biological processes at the system level. To address this grand challenge, my lab has invented two groundbreaking chemical biology technologies i.e. micelle-assisted protein labeling technology (MAPLabTech) and activity-based reporter gene technology (AbRGT). We have many issued/pending US patents on these technologies and extensively published these work in the top journals in the field of chemical biology. In addition, these technologies are currently deployed for the development of novel medicines in collaboration with international and national industries.
