Hello! My name is Brittney and I am a recent graduate from California Baptist University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Throughout my college experience, my desire to enter a healthcare profession grew more and more. This spring, I also attained an Emergency Medical Technician certification to boost some of my hard skills in medicine. I am currently in the process of attaining my phlebotomy license in California. I hope to only continue learning and building essential skills in healthcare following posting my degree in Biology.

   Performs 5 and 12 lead EKG testing-Completes safe patient handling and movement using the hovermatt, transfer slider, and mega mover-Facilitates communication between ED attending and consult physicians throughout patient cases-Utilizing Orthoglss materials necessary to create long bone and short bone splints for patient extremities-Executes appropriate wound care techniques for necrotic tissue, skin tears, abrasions, avulsions, and lacerations-Prepares and transports patients for MRI, CT, and x-ray imaging-Completes tasks necessary for end of life and post mortem care-Performs a manual blood pressure check on trauma patients-Gathers the materials and data necessary for doctors and nurses during code blues and trauma cases-Assists MD and RN personnel with sterile procedures-Completes spinal immobilization and head count for trauma patients during MD initial assesment.
