About Brittany N. Taylor

Dr. Brittany N. Taylor is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, where she conducts research at the intersection of genomics, machine learning, and social determinants of health to advance precision health equity. She earned her PhD from Columbia University, completing a dissertation that applied machine learning and epigenetic approaches to understanding depression risk in Black mothers. With nearly a decade of clinical nursing experience and extensive training through NIH- and NHGRI-supported programs, her work spans genomics, data science, and health informatics. Dr. Taylor has published and presented widely on topics including DNA methylation, discrimination, mental health, and sickle cell disease, and remains committed to improving health outcomes for underserved communities.
