Reviews grant applications submitted by local and state treatment court programs submitted to the Bureau of Justice Assistance for federal funding to implement or enhance treatment court programs. • Analyze grant applications for the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program and assess for completeness, adherence to solicitation requirements, and program effectiveness to obtain federal funding. • Evaluate the planning, development, organization, administration and delivery of Problem-Solving Courts across the United States.• Review criminal justice grant program materials, including program plans, solicitation content, program budget, justifications and program assessment of outcomes addressing BJA program priorities. • Analyze and evaluate Risk Needs Assessments used by each program requesting funds to ensure that assessments measure meet evidence based and best standard practices. • Evaluate proposed budgets for appropriate expenditures of programs and cost effectiveness of grant expenditures.• Examine policy and procedures for each program submitting grant applications to assess for best standard practices of Problem-Solving Courts and provide recommendations for criminal justice program improvements, based on industry best standard practices. • Utilize an electronic grant management system to input, track, and monitor the grant review process from end-to-end. The electronic system used is OJP Grants Management System (GMS).
