ABOUT BRITTANY G.
I am currently acting as a Program & Policy Officer with experience supporting Grants & Contributions, operational delivery, and reconciliation-focused programming within the Government of Canada. My work is grounded in continuous improvement, structured problem-solving, and a strong commitment to delivering clear, accessible, and culturally safe services for Indigenous partners and all Canadians.Across my career, spanning federal operations, municipal administration, HR functions, safety management, financial coordination, and client-service environments, I have consistently gravitated toward improving processes, finding efficiencies, reducing friction, and creating clarity in complex workflows. I enjoy analyzing how systems operate, identifying gaps or duplication, conducting research on best practices, and developing practical tools, templates, and processes that make work easier and more productive for teams.Alongside my core responsibilities, I take initiative to explore modernization approaches and digital tools, including M365, SharePoint, GC Forms, structured workflow design, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. I frequently collaborate cross-functionally, engage with GCcollab communities, and study how different departments approach modernization, automation, digital intake, and user-centred service delivery. Through this work, I’ve developed strong “bridge” capabilities between program operations and digital/IT considerations, translating operational needs into clear requirements and designing practical, user-friendly tools that support scalable modernization. To further strengthen my technical foundation, I am completing IBM SkillsBuild training through the University of New Brunswick (McKenna Institute), with coursework in cloud computing, enterprise computing, artificial intelligence, data & analytics, and modern project management. This complements my Bachelor of Business Administration (with distinction), my Lean Six Sigma training, and ongoing learning through the Canada School of Public Service.I care deeply about reconciliation, equity, accessibility, and strong public service delivery. I am equally committed to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and service excellence across government programs that impact communities and Canadians nationwide. I bring curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a continuous-improvement mindset to every space I work in.
