Leads the Solutions Accelerator team to identify and replicate innovative, evidence-based solutions to pressing urban problems, through funding from Gates Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Arnold Ventures. As Director, I lead the development and delivery of two major workstreams while managing granting, outcomes and impact tracking, and reporting.Replication Management: multi-year, multi city scaling plans and supports for promising programs and practices in collaboration with government and community organizations.Providence Talks Replication Initiative – a three-year,$4.2 million grant program that is advancing early childhood language acquisition in five cities, learning from the experience of one innovative local government program from Providence. All cities met objectives and delivered services to over 3400 children.Cities and Counties for Fine and Fee Justice – a program for place-based teams pursuing innovative local solutions to reform fines and fees, rethinking reliance on fines and fees revenue, and implementing reforms that support public safety and economic prosperity for all residents. Solutions Accelerator – the development and delivery of 6- to 12-week virtual learning opportunities that provide place-based teams with time efficient, intensive workshops to learn from subject matter experts and peers to accelerate the implementation of solutions. Partnering with over 25 leading national organizations, this approach has supported over 200 place based teams and 1600 local decision makers to implement solutions like diversion programs, guaranteed income, tenant right to counsel, and alternative emergency response, that matter for residents’ economic outcomes, centering lived experience, resident engagement, and social justice.
