About Britt Johnson

I thrive when I find myself in a place with a destination in mind but no chart to navigate there. For that destination, I create the map and build the structure for scaling operations and sustaining growth. I structure scale so the vision and organization can thrive. Knowing where I’m going, I’m freed up to discover new paths along the way. I\'ve always been passionate about discovery and networks. As a kid, I gravitated toward activities around exploration rather than creation. On family road trips and from the time I could read, I poured over maps to find new and faster routes to our destination. Now, as a professional, I still gravitate towards exploration. In particular, I explore new ways to drive accessibility in healthcare. Instead of route finding, I experiment with various mixes of goals, metrics, and trust-building to scale better and faster.Some examples of how I\'ve applied this in the past: I informed national health supply chains on improving access to medicines in final mile communities; I founded a hackathon to engage and support entrepreneurs to invent on behalf of patients; I defined goals and targets to deliver 24/7 on-demand clinical care across all 50 states at Amazon Care.The ways in which I achieve results is driven by the following: I\'m adaptable. I stay focused on the goal and the why. If the ‘how’ is getting lost, I reframe, regroup and facilitate alignment on the ‘how.’ I can pull back, stop, think and identify alternative ways to achieve the goals. I strive to be inclusive. I can partner equally with leadership as well as front line employees to integrate various insights into operational strategy. Big results are achieved with inputs across diverse perspectives. I enjoy engaging all voices, even and especially the quiet ones. I deliver on vision by creating order from perceived chaos. More voices can mean more complexity. I believe the biggest achievements are complex. Success is not oversimplifying the results, it’s maintaining a clear vision while managing an array of challenging and conflicting factors. I\'ve been described as unflappable. I’m mission driven. If I’m going to apply myself at scaling an initiative, I want to believe that the initiative will have a positive impact on people and broader society. In addition, I want to ensure we have a significant enough impact and have a plan to measure / capture that impact.

   Developed and executed a global strategy to unify 18 business units delivering real estate services, putting in place plans to reduce lead times by 20–30%.
