ABOUT BRITTANY SPARLING

Currently working as a Senior Project Manager, Transit Vehicles for OC Transpo. As a business development specialist with the Faculty Bargaining Service Branch, I worked closely with the Assistant Director and Field Representatives, assisting with the management of the document database, website and membership directory. I also managed the various workshops and conferences held by FBS. Previously I was an operator training sales representative and instructor with Johnston Equipment, promoting various training programs as they relate to the material handling sector. I work closely with clients to develop a training program to create a safe and productive warehouse environment. I held the position of International Business Development Manager for 5+ years at Agnovi Corporation, a Canadian SME that specializes in the development of criminal investigative software solutions for law enforcement and related markets. I had opportunities to work closely with investigative bodies within government agencies. I worked with Trade Commissioners to establish opportunities internationally, using my Spanish language skills at times. An integral part of the business development position was participating in the government tender process; from pre-bid stage, through the bid process, to contract award and deliverable completion. I maintained close relationships with our customers, ensuring deliverables were met. My post-secondary education provided the knowledge and hands-on skills required to become a Certified International Trading Professional (CITP). I successfully completed a B.A. Honours degree from Carleton University in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations. I graduated on the Dean\'s List from the in-class FITT accredited International Business Management program at Algonquin College. My customer service work experience consisted of 10+ years in the golf, hospitality F&B, and retail industries and I have 5+ years of experience volunteering with and fundraising for various NGOs and Non-profits.
