Serve as UAFS liaison to UA System Office for benefits and risk management services.• Coordinate special benefits events, such as Employee Benefits Fair, on-site flu shots, and the implementation of new benefit programs. Arrange and/or conduct employee information presentations and enrollments as required.• Provide assistance to employees with special needs, including long-term disability application process and accommodations; may assist with family medical leave, resolution of benefit issues, and in other areas as needed. Assist survivors with employee death benefits.• Serve as liaison with benefit vendors.• Ensure compliance with all federal and state personnel laws, as well as University policies and procedures in all aspects of the job.• Oversee performance review processes, including training. Review staff performance evaluation submissions.• Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee relations problems (e.g, complaint resolution and grievances). Provide information, advice, and interpretation of law, policy, procedures, and directives to personnel in subjects such as Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, disciplinary actions, use of performance evaluation system, and a variety of other personnel issues.• Conduct exit interviews with terminating employees to inform them of COBRA and other benefit-related issues and to determine reasons for separation and if corrective action may retain valued staff.• Oversee the recruitment and retention of university employees.• Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Faculty and Staff.
