About Brittany Agius

As a child, I was obsessed with money; I would search the ground for dropped coins, save them, and count my overflowing jar whenever I felt the need. It makes sense that I was attracted to a career that focuses on decision making and reporting as it relates to financial information. Besides my love for math and my fascination with money at a young age, the job opportunities that exist for accounting graduates coupled with the challenging course work and discipline required to succeed drew me to the major. During my first Accounting class freshman year, I determined I made the right call, I chose the right major for me, and I haven’t looked back since.I have done my best to take advantage of the many opportunities that college offers. I sought out opportunities that would challenge me to learn and grow that were not just limited to the classroom. Participating in undergraduate research, travel opportunities, taking on leadership roles, and partaking in professional and service events have provided me with experiences that have challenged me to develop and mature in more ways than I ever thought possible. I believe I have taken advantage of the true essence of receiving a college education: embracing opportunities and going beyond academics. Therefore, I am ready for the next step in my life as I begin my career in the Accounting industry.
