With almost 15 years of progressive operations and HR experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, I am a people operations professional who leads a team within a fast-paced and evolving environment. I have in-depth knowledge of operations to support employee relations activities and best practices, including complex investigations, salary planning, M&A, negotiations, and strategy execution. I also have advanced skills in HR systems and analytics, using various software tools to monitor and improve performance, engagement, and retention.As the Washington Area Human Resources Manager at HDR Inc, I manage the HR function for a nearly 600-person workforce across eight offices, covering multiple business groups and federal and non-federal contracts. I am a thought leader for area strategy planning, regularly meeting with senior executives across the business. I am also the leadership sponsor for the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Committee for Washington State, promoting a culture of belonging and respect. In addition, I teach Workforce Planning & Analytics at the University of Washington in their Human Resources Management program. This course challenges my passion for continuous improvement and demonstrates my growth mindset. I have a passion for giving back to my profession through educating the next generation of HR professionals. I hold the SHRM-CP credential from the Society of Human Resources Management, as well as the Certified Payroll Manager and Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner credentials from the National Payroll Institute.
