ABOUT BRITTANY GORDON

I am a critical thinker - I analyse situations, apply tax technical knowledge and consider the bigger picture to reach conclusions. I am also a communicator – I can describe tax implications in an easy to follow manner and explain the technical rationale behind the advice I give. As the Mobility Senior Tax Manager for the Asia Pac, Middle East and Caspian region at Wood, I am responsible for providing advice to the business regarding international assignments and moves into the region, for overseeing that compliance obligations are met in terms of employer and assignee reporting and for delivering strategic projects. I enjoy partnering with various internal stakeholders and building collaborative relationships I previously worked in practice, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Anderson, Anderson & Brown LLP. With a varied workload covering UK employment tax and expat tax matters, I developed my knowledge in both areas, always striving to provide excellent service to my clients. With my passion for tax (yes, I think it is possible to feel passionate about being a tax professional), I decided to go on to study for the Chartered Tax Adviser qualification too. I continue to stay up to date with the latest tax news and developments, particularly in the employment and expat tax space. I am one of the founding members of the Women in Tax Aberdeen branch and enjoy arranging and attending events with fellow professionals. Outside of work I like to keep active, I go to fitness classes regularly and also have a horse and a dog. I enjoy catching up with friends and family over good food and a glass of wine.
