I’m a Licensed Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist with 12+ years in logistics, imports, and compliance. I began in domestic truckload sales at TQL building strong customer relationships, driving brokerage revenue, and later training new sales reps. I then moved into cargo risk management, developing compliant solutions for previously prohibited commodities through implementing policies and procedures, auditing high‑risk accounts, and managing covert cargo tracking. This expanded service capabilities, reduced risk, and supported sustained revenue and volume growth.For the past six years, I’ve specialized in customs compliance, including three years managing the customs brokerage team. After earning my Customs Brokerage License in April 2021, I strengthened brokerage capabilities by overseeing daily entry operations, addressing sales escalations, leading training initiatives, supporting revenue retention, and building technical proficiency across CBP and PGA requirements while growing the customer base and overall revenue. I also trained, developed, and audited new entry writers to ensure accurate, compliant processing and team growth.Over the last three years, I’ve supported the brokerage team from within the Legal Department advising on regulatory changes, tariff updates, new requirements, and operational training. In this senior compliance role, I provide regulatory interpretation and legal guidance for CF 28/CF 29 responses, post‑summary corrections, HTS classification, PGA compliance, petitions for mitigation/relief, protest filings, AD/CVD reviews, and ACE report analysis. I develop SOPs, convert complex CBP rules into practical training, and oversee targeted audits to maintain responsible supervision and control. I lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and strengthen compliance integrity.My work connects compliance, operations, and corporate priorities by mitigating risk while supporting profitable revenue, operational accuracy, long‑term customer retention, and continued growth and efficiencies. I collaborate across departments, elevate team capability, and maintain strong customer and regulatory relationships.
