About Brittany Dillard
I am currently a clinical pharmacy specialist at Spectrum Health Medical Group in Grand Rapids, Michigan helping to manage chronic disease states. I was previously working on the Blood and Marrow Transplant Team and also worked in emergency medicine and internal medicine. I obtained my PharmD from University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Previous pharmacy experience includes working as a pharmacy intern for Rite Aid Pharmacy for nearly three years and loved the opportunity to communicate and build relationships with patients. In addition to my community pharmacy experience, I had the opportunity to practice in a broad range of pharmacy areas during my clinical rotations, which allowed me to appreciate the challenge of complex disease states. Additionally, I completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Spectrum Health to grow my critical thinking skills and clinical knowledge. My professional work experience in conjunction with my experiential rotations and residency collectively provide me with motivation and desire to grow and meet the challenges of an evolving health care system that places greater expectations on pharmacists.
