I work as the Community Outreach Coordinator with the NYC Commission on Gender Equity (CGE), in the Communications and Public Engagement department. In my role, I engage New Yorkers by sharing resources related to gender equity such as the Menopause at Work booklet, End Street Harassment: An NYC Resource Guide, and a Gender-Based Violence toolkit, alongside other city agency resources. During different campaigns I have also co-led presentations and days of action on street harassment and gender-based violence. To engage more New Yorkers I attend community events, table at libraries, resource fairs, and health fairs across the five boroughs. In order to do this, I have built partnerships with organizations, agencies, and community leaders to engage with New Yorkers. In 2024 I co-led and facilitated the planning of CGE’s first resource fair in December of 2024. Another aspect of my role involves developing social media posts, newsletters, outreach materials, and website updates to reach a wider audience. In order to understand the impact of CGE’s online presence, I track monthly metrics for CGE\'s social media, outreach, campaigns, and website.
