I’ve worn just about every hat in the hospitality world — from serving tables to district manager, CEO, COO, back to the gardener or maintenance woman- any other title necessary to get the job done — It’s been a wild, rewarding ride full of long hours, incredible people, and countless lessons about leadership, grit, and service.But somewhere in the middle of the chaos of schedules, staff, and spreadsheets, a deeper question began to stir in me: Is this what freedom really looks like?As a mom of two, I want more — more time with my kids, more flexibility to explore God’s world, more capacity to give generously and live purposefully. My husband and I began learning how to steward our finances differently — investing wisely, protecting our family, and building a legacy our kids could be proud of. The results were life-changing.That journey opened my eyes to something bigger: financial literacy is one of the greatest forms of empowerment we can offer people.
