The Child Care for Every Family Network is a coalition of parents, providers, and advocates working to advance federal policies that ensure all families have access to quality, affordable child care. Through this work, I have played a critical role in building provider power within the Network, ensuring that those directly impacted by child care policies are leading the conversations, shaping solutions, and driving systemic change.Spearheaded the design and implementation of the national Provider Constituency Group (PCG) as co-lead, ensuring child care providers play a central role in shaping federal policy discussions.Established the infrastructure and governance of the Constituency Group, co-developing leadership roles and decision-making structures that maintain a member-centered culture.Provided leadership coaching and facilitated training for members to strengthen their advocacy skills and participation in national policy work.Co-led the monthly strategic planning process, including agenda-setting and collaboration with Network staff to align constituency group priorities with broader advocacy goals.Represented the network and constituency group in national leadership spaces, including the Coordinating Committee, ensuring provider and family perspectives were at the forefront of federal and state advocacy efforts.Developed recruitment and orientation strategies, ensuring diverse representation across provider settings, geographic regions, and racial backgrounds, with a strong commitment to maintaining majority BIPOC representation.Designed systems of peer support and engagement, including individual and group check-ins, mentorship opportunities, and structured pathways for leadership development.Created pathways for members to be actively involved in federal and state-level advocacy, co-facilitating training sessions, elevating provider and parent input in key decision-making spaces, and mobilizing members for legislative actions.
