About Brinda Sivaramakrishnan
Brinda Sivaramakrishnan holds a masters of Public Health with a certificate in Forced Migration and Health. She is most interested in the intersection of environmental justice, displacement, and health disparities. She completed her BA/BS at The Evergreen State College in agroecology and biology, and her Master Composter certification from Queens Botanical Garden, NYC. Since then, she has worked in various research roles and is currently community health faculty. She also works as a consultant, serving small / local community-based organizations with technical assistance in data and curriculum needs. On her free time she teaches yoga and Meditation with the International Association for Human Values. Brinda is public health advisor and instructor with Cities4Peace SKY Mindful Leadership Program, bringing trauma informed capacity and community building trainings to civic organizations. It is part of a global violence-reduction movement linking individual healing with social determinants of community health.
