ABOUT BRINDA MITRA
I was born into a Bengali family in Delhi who took theatre and music very seriously. I moved to Mumbai 15 yrs back to study filmmaking from Whistling Woods International, where I specialised in Film Editing as a scholarship student. I have had more than a decade long career starting as an Assistant director, graduating to Associate director on 100+ ad films. I have worked on long formats - feature films and series with Yashraj Films, and served as creative content developer for Siddharth Roy Kapur at Roy Kapur Films and as Supervising Producer for the digital arm of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. These gave me the dynamic edge for various formats of filmmaking. My directorial and writing debut micro anthology film ‘Stories On The Next Page’ released on Disney+ Hotstar in May 2022, starring Renuka Shahane, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Namit Das, Abhishek Bannerjee, Ditipriya Roy, Bhupendra Jadawat, Syed Raza and Veebha Anand.
