About Brij N. Singh
I am a John Deere Technical Fellow. On July 20, 2020, John Deere Enterprise recognized me for exemplary knowledge leadership and awarded “The Title of John Deere Fellow” for significant contribution in Power Electronics Engineering. On Sept 16, 2020, I have joined a newly created position in John Deere; Region 4 Public Funding Manager. John Deere Region 4 covers US, Canada and Australia. My responsibilities are to secure government funding to carryout R&D work in emerging technologies for Deere & Company. My job responsibilities include to establish research relationships with non-compete non-Deere industries and small businesses that are engaged in innovative technology development works in US. I have significant leadership experience in the power electronics product and technology design, development, and commercialization. I have 35 US patents, one trade secret, and over dozen pending patents, all related to power electronics technology development works and projects execution in John Deere. I have earned 3 innovations and one team collaboration awards in John Deere. Robust and rugged environment designs such as parts for inverter power stages have experienced over 50 millions accumulative field hours with no failures. I am chaired (July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021) member advisory committee (MAC) in the PowerAmerica Institute https://poweramericainstitute.org/). John Deere is a founding member of PowerAmerica Institute. I am the winner of the 2020 Power Electronics Emerging Technology Award \" For contributions to in-vehicle demonstration of engine-cooled power-dense scalable SiC inverter\" Weblink for details of this award: am selected to serve as Power Electronics Distinguished Lecturer (PELS DEL) for 20••••24. On June 12, 2023, Vehicle Technology Office (VTO) in the US Dept of Energy awarded me \"Distinguished Achievement Award\" for outstanding contributions and insightful technical expertise to VTO doe electric drive technologies and off-road vehicle research and development. I have secured nearly $15M external R&D funding to create new products and technologies, mainly in area of power electronics. Recently funded active projects led by me are linked to the following announcements by the US DOE.(1)
