About Brigitte Sutherland

Brigitte is a tax shareholder who joined Perkins & Co in 2005. She has over twenty years of public and private accounting experience, including tax planning, research and compliance and has developed a specialty in pass-through entities: S-Corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.She is a senior member of the firm’s real estate practice group and she serves a wide array of clients in the real estate industry. Brigitte also has extensive experience with property managers and owners, real estate developers, and contractors, assisting them with the specialized services such as cost segregation, tax deferred exchanges and tenancy in common reporting. In addition, she has experience with a variety of closely held businesses in the professional services and manufacturing industries.Prior to joining the firm, Brigitte was a senior manager for Reznick Group in Bethesda, MD, where she had client responsibility for tax and assurance services. She also has experience in private industry as an assistant controller.Specialties: Tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses and individuals, entity planning and restructuring, multi-state taxation and succession planning.
