1. Manufacturing Engineer (Met - Rotational Program)

   The MET or Manufacturing Engineer Trainee is a 2-year long rotational program where the Engineer has two 1-year long primary roles (e.g. Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, etc.) where they function as a full time employee. During each of these 1-year rotations the engineer will also shadow and complete a project for another segment of the business over a 30-35 day period. These business segments include but are not limited to Supply Chain, Human Resources, Quality Control and Engineering, Applications Engineering, Health Safety & Environments, and more. This provides the MET with a deep understanding of the primary role and a solid understanding and level of experience in many other roles, allowing the MET to have a firm understanding of the company and its operation. As it stands, my first rotation is as a Manufacturing Engineer at the Greenville Pelham Plant where I oversee some Pinion cells, and complete various improvement projects. The second rotation is expected to be as a Design Engineer at the company\'s Headquarters (Greenville, SC Holland Road). My Roles and Functions so far: Manufacturing Engineer (Greenville Pelham Road) Roles and Projects Managing factory cell functions and operators Writing CNC programs using APT Problem Solving Various Manufacturing Related Issues (quality, system errors, tool and other minor purchasing) Purchasing and Evaluating new Machinery (Several thousand dollars+) Improving Factory function and flow (Layouts, Kaizen and Lean events, etc.) And More Project Examples: Evaluating Warrantied Parts, identifying issues and developing solutions Developing Fixtures to secure parts and improve productivity, including reducing setup times Identifying, Developing, and/or Implementing processes to automate, quantify, and increase productivity and quality Improving and Optimizing flow and function in factory cells and supporting departments And More.(Character Limit)
