While acting as the NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and University of Utah representative I plan, organize, and coordinated game operations associated with Football, Men’s Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Softball, M/W Swim & Dive, and Women’s Volleyball- Create event plans with athletic communications, Crimson Club Athletics Fund, equipment managers, home team, marketing, ticketing, trainers, visiting team, and other departments- Using knowledge of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and University of Utah manuals/handbooks I create event staffing plans focused on customer service, fiscal responsibility, and life safety- Coordinate with City Fire & EMS, City Police, University Community Relations, University Enterprise Risk Management, University Parking & Transportation, and University Police to develop plans for events- Develop and implement emergency evacuation plans to make immediate decisions and determine when ejections need to take place, an event needs to be stopped, and the venue needs to be evacuated. Then coordinate those communications with event staff, public safety officials, and spectators- Direct event response to weather delays and other incidents that disrupt competition including interpreting weather information/incidents, stoppage of competition, and negotiate the restarting of play as laid out by the NCAA, Pac-12 and Utah Athletic safety guidelines- Track, summarize and defend event expenses in preparation of financial settlements- Hold event management roles in many outside events like NCAA March Madness, NCAA postseason tournaments, NBA practices, NBA Summer League, and the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
