Hi, I’m Brien, a former teacher turned data analyst who believes that every dataset tells a story worth listening to. And my mindset has never left the classroom. I started in classrooms, helping students uncover patterns in their own learning. That experience taught me how to translate complexity into clarity, whether it’s a math concept or a messy dataset. Today, I bring that same mindset to data analytics: making the invisible visible and transforming raw numbers into real-world action.Whether I’m modeling student attendance trends or automating reporting workflows, I focus on delivering insights that stakeholders can use immediately. My work is grounded in statistical rigor but driven by empathy. Behind every metric is a person, a process, or a decision waiting to be improved.One project I’m particularly proud of involved analyzing enrollment and attendance data to uncover behavioral patterns that weren’t obvious at first glance.    I architect scalable data solutions that support strategic decision-making across departments. Within the Data & Assessment team, I build robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, and APIs—transforming fragmented data into actionable insights.My work spans advanced query logic, statistical modeling, and predictive analysis, with a focus on reproducibility and performance. I’ve designed automated validation frameworks and exploratory tools that streamline decision-making and uncover hidden trends. Visualization is more than presentation—it’s impact: I leverage Looker, Matplotlib, Smartsheets, and Excel to deliver dynamic dashboards and self-service analytics for a variety of stakeholders.Recent efforts include operationalizing statistical methods to forecast outcomes, integrating real-time indicators into planning workflows, and modularizing reporting logic for reusability and scalability. I’m driven by a passion for solving complex problems through data, and excited to evolve into a formal data science role where insight generation converge.One of my biggest impact that I got to do is analysis on where our students are coming from and it showed that we had students going to a campus not closer to them. This resulted in a 20% increase enrollment for the east campus.My second biggest impact is developing data pipelines/API on the cloud (GCP). This helps simply and set data up for analysis. And made different application of smartsheets on the cloud that isn’t provided by smartsheets. My third big accomplishment is help with the Public Charter Authority with Medicaid billing in charter schools. I did by writing the SQL script to connect the databases.
