About Bridgit Sult
My name is Bridgit Sult, I am a current Senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, studying Public Health with a community health concentration. I originally went to college to become a nurse. However, the more science classes I took, the less passionate I became about patient care and more enthralled with the advocacy component of healthcare. Transferring from Wake Tech Community College, gave me a better focus towards my career aspirations. I choose to study Public Health because it provides a holistic approach to health through looking at both microeconomic and macroeconomic aspects of healthcare. After I complete my degree, I want to work in community health education. My biggest passion in public health has been advocacy, impacting as many lives as I possibly can in my short time on this earth. In college, I have worked as a CNA, where I have adapted team leadership skills, and chaos management, and have become a better advocate for the elderly population. It is through this interest that I have become a more empathetic person and to continue the fight of Medicaid and medicare expansion.
