About Bridgette Simpson

I am a Quality Manager Team Lead and Testing Captain at Epic Systems in Verona, WI, where I spend my time working in people and product management, product and process quality, automation (Selenium, Appium), demos, and feature adoption. I’m currently focused on AI feature validation best practices and exploring using AI tools like Claude Code to automate development fixes and QA testing using Playwright. Before beginning at Epic, I graduated with honors from Bucknell University with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in both English - Creative Writing and Spanish. I published almost 90 articles in The Bucknellian, Bucknell University’s student-run newspaper, and I worked as the Content Coordinator at Fair Haven Living Magazine, where I wrote, curated, and edited all content.My exploratory nonfiction has been published in Bucknell’s student-run literary magazine, confetti head, and my fiction appears in Volume 30 of Glass Mountain, the University of Houston’s literary magazine. I was awarded the Julia Fonville Smithson Memorial Prize in Creative Writing for Prose by Bucknell University’s Department of Creative Writing in the spring of 2023. Additionally, I earned an internship at nationally-recognized literary magazine West Branch for the Spring 2023 semester. I am bilingual in Spanish and have taken grammar, history, writing, linguistics, ecology, and culture courses at Centro de Lenguas Modernas in Granada, Spain.
