I am a software engineer. Unlike Wolverine, I am not the best there is at what I do, but what I do is very nice.I am not looking for a job. If you try to recruit me, I will ask you to explain how your company\'s mission aligns with Catholic social teaching; please at least know what your company\'s mission is (why do people work there? is it to make the world a better place? in what way?) and why you think it might be *more* appealing to me than my current company\'s mission (it is necessary to be more appealing, since a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.) Now you know how to make a company sound interesting to me, but I am still not looking for a job so I am not sure what good it will do to know.I am a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (I find that random people who have met me socially since 2020 either suffer from curiosity for a long time because they are too polite to ask, or else they immediately pose one question from this set: what are you; are you a Franciscan?(no); are you a nun?(no)), but perhaps this raises more questions than it answers.
