ABOUT BRIDGET HOUGH
Bridget Hough specializes in the recruitment of senior academic administrators for major research universities and academic medical centers, as well as chief executives for hospitals and health systems. Over the past decade she has worked on the execution of more than 120 searches.Currently the Director of Academic and Executive Search for UCLA Health, Bridget oversees the executive recruitment efforts for key C-suite and senior academic administrative positions across the medical enterprise; she joined UCLA Health in 2016 as the inaugural executive recruiter for the organization and subsequently established an in-house executive search function.Previously, Bridget spent seven years with Russell Reynolds Associates, an international executive recruiting and consulting firm, where her search and assessment work focused on the Higher Education and Healthcare Practices. She had the privilege of serving as a key member of the search consultant team for university presidential searches, for provost searches, and for a variety of academic dean, and department chair searches. University clients included Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Stony Brook University, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Michigan, and Washington University in St. Louis, among others.Bridget has a deep appreciation for academic institutions, especially the UC System, having received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from UCSB, where she also completed her masters and doctorate in collaborative piano. In addition to her work in executive search, Bridget is active as a performing classical pianist.
