About Bridget Caruso

Bridget Caruso, MPH is the Senior Country Program Manager for the USAID Advancing Nutrition, the Agency’s global flagship nutrition project. In this role she is responsible for providing programmatic guidance and ensuring effective management and backstopping support of the 12 country portfolio (Burkina Faso, East Africa, Ghana, Honduras, India, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda). She leads the startup of country programs and technical assistance buy-ins, and oversees the development and submission of work plans, reports, and deliverables. Prior to USAID Advancing Nutrition, Ms. Caruso worked on the USAID-funded Strengthening Partnerships, Results, and Innovations in Nutrition Globally (SPRING) Project supporting the country portfolio. She then joined the senior management team in Kyrgyzstan, providing managerial and technical leadership to the program in its last year. Ms. Caruso’s work history includes positions at a diverse set of organizations – academia, federal and county government, INGO, and UN – allowing her to bring a unique perspective to her work in nutrition and program management. She has worked in maternal, infant, and young child nutrition in Bangladesh, Ghana, Honduras, India, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, and Nigeria. Ms. Caruso has experience working on projects with Global Fund, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and USAID funding.
