About Brice Boyd

There aren’t many people who come from a small-town Texas farm and go on to attend an east coast law school like I have, however I believe that my unique experiences have impacted the way that I work and the way that I view the world for the better.Growing up in a rural community has taught me to approach my work with a sense of collaboration, proactivity, and practicality. I’ve spent many years around all aspects of the agricultural industry, and have had valuable experience with organizational governance, structure, and leadership. My academic and professional experiences have prepared me to apply these attitudes to new arenas- During my undergraduate degree I learned about the basic STEM fundamentals and the psychology of learning, both of which I utilize to help me understand and communicate complex ideas- During my master’s degree I learned about statistical data analysis and delved deeper into the scientific method by completing and defending my thesis- Working in research compliance expanded my understanding of institutional governance and enhanced my experiences with auditing and troubleshooting- During my time in law school, I have learned about legal advice, improved my communication and drafting skills, and experienced the policy creation process through my involvement in the Harrison Institute for Public Policy. I have gained technical editing experience through my involvement with Georgetown’s flagship Law Journal. I have also learned about innovative solutions to complex international legal and economic questions and trade law matters through my involvement with the Institute for International Economic Law- I’ve gained practical experience through my internships during law school at the American Bar Association, Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, and the US Department of Agriculture. These internships have been substantively wide ranging, including probate and family law questions, law of aging, public assistance, rural development, and international law questions.I believe that law gives me the chance to support that work in a productive manner, and I am looking forward to being a part of that mission.Feel free to send me a message at any time or email me at b•••••@georgetown.edu!
