About Brian Weber
I thrive on solving complex problems at the intersection of enterprise technology, data, and customer experience. My career began in offshore engineering, where I designed and analyzed pipelines, risers, and heavy-lift operations. But I quickly realized my true passion lay in technology and programming—building solutions that scale and empower people.Over the past 10+ years, I’ve built a strong technical foundation across Python, Golang, React, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern front-end frameworks, applying these skills to high-impact projects in networking, security, and fintech. At Intuit, I focus on developer success and operational excellence—from creating internal platforms like Dev360 (now the standard for collecting OPEX data) to automation that scales across thousands of services. My role combines engineering rigor with product thinking, ensuring teams deliver reliable, data-driven outcomes. Outside of Intuit, I’m co-founder and CTO of Movmo — a travel-fintech platform reimagining airline checkout. Movmo reduces distribution costs, improves conversion, and unlocks new revenue for airlines by making flight booking as easy as ordering dinner from your couch.(Learn more at https://movmo.io) Travel and investing both shape how I think: whether it’s exploring cultures across the Americas and Europe, or trading financial markets daily, I bring a global, systems-level perspective to every challenge. Guiding principle: Solve real problems with focus today, so teams can scale smarter tomorrow.
Experience
Staff Software Engineer
Aug 2024 — Present · San Diego, CA, US
As a Staff Software Engineer on Intuit’s Cloud Cost Optimization and Operational Excellence platform, I design and build large-scale data pipelines and analytical systems that power executive decision-making across the company. I lead high-visibility investigations into availability, performance, and UX issues—often resolving long-standing problems by tracing root causes across teams, systems, and data layers. I recently built an autonomous SRE diagnostics agent that analyzes cloud services to pinpoint issues and recommend precise fixes, now being adopted company-wide.
