Rural hospitals face growing behavioral health demand with limited staff, tight margins, and increasing operational risk. When access gaps go unaddressed, the pressure shows up quietly but consistently through ED congestion, avoidable utilization, staff burnout, and patient leakage out of the community.I serve as a business development director at Psychiatric Medical Care, working with hospital CEOs, CFOs, and clinical leaders across Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas to help them regain control over where and how behavioral health demand shows up inside their organizations.My focus is helping rural and community hospitals build sustainable behavioral health access across four critical areas:• Senior Life Solutions for high-utilizing Medicare populations• Outpatient therapy to close access gaps and protect continuity of care• ED crisis services to improve throughput and reduce boarding• Inpatient psychiatric management aligned to market realityThe goal is not to add programs for the sake of growth. It’s to help hospitals stabilize access, protect operations, and strengthen long-term viability in communities that depend on them.I bring more than two decades of experience in healthcare operations and business development across dialysis, wound care, and behavioral health. Earlier in my career, I worked as a licensed master social worker in Michigan and Texas, supporting children and adults facing chronic and acute mental health challenges. Those experiences shaped how I view healthcare today and reinforced how closely behavioral health, physical health, and operational outcomes are connected, especially in rural America.My approach is collaborative and practical. I work alongside executives, clinicians, and frontline teams to design solutions that fit both the mission and the financial realities rural hospitals face every day.I earned degrees in psychology, social work, and business from the University of Michigan Dearborn, Wayne State University, and Baylor University.
